Conversation Starters: Strategy, Opportunity and Non-Profit

Talking Small Business Strategy

I'll be a guest on Ann Evanston's Warrior-Preneur Internet Radio Show on this coming Monday, November 23rd. We start broadcasting at 10:00 AM Central Time discussing small business; specifically strategy and the keys to entrepreneurial success. Can you pinpoint a key to your entrepreneurial success? Do you have a specific strategy for your business? You can listen live, ask questions, or call in with your own experience. If you miss the live broadcast, listen to the recording afterward. You can listen in here: Jay Ehret on Warrior-Preneur

The Corridor of Opportunity

In April 2007 I Launched The Marketing Spot blog which led to to me sitting in on a social media session of of the MultifamilyPro Brainstorming Event this past Friday. Huh? ...In between I posted my first anniversary blog post, where Eric Brown posted a comment, which led to him writing guests posts for the blog, which led to a professional relationship, which led to Eric and I co-hosting a tweet-up in Houston, which led to an invitation to the MultifamilyPro event where I made several new contacts and possibly earned some new business. Doing new stuff gets you places and creates opportunities. What have you done that launched you down the corridor of opportunity?

Donating Your Time and Expertise to Non-Profits

John Wall and Christopher Penn of the Marketing Over Coffee podcast will be posting a series of marketing projects on their site, encouraging marketers to donate their time to non-profits. I'll be doing some pro-bono work for a local non-profit in December too. Whatever your profession, can you find a non-profit to donate some time and resources in December?

Hey Jay,
Your blog was the first or one of the first blogs I started following, and one that came up when I Googled marketing blogs.

It truly has been a Corridor of Opportunity, and a pretty neat time we are all living regarding how we connect with people.

It was great seeing you in person in Houston this week, and I have enjoyed working with you as well, This Social Media is pretty cool stuff!
